The Teaching School Hub Programme

This is designed centrally by the DfE and tailored by the Teaching School Hubs, working with National Partners. Teaching School Hubs deliver the Golden Thread of teacher education.

The key functions are:

• Deliver Initial Teacher Training: either as an accredited body which can recommend trainees for QTS (a SCITT), as a lead school, or mutually agreed alternative approach of equivalent impact.
• Support the development of ITT across the Hub area working with providers in Cornwall.
• Support Schools to engage in the delivery of ITT.
• Appropriate Body: ensure Early Career Teachers have access to appropriate support and training, and manage their assessment and support as required.
• Support the rollout of the Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTE) by acting as a delivery partner for an ECTE lead provider.
• To work with The Department of Education advisors and RISE teams to support schools in our area.
• Supporting the roll-out of the new National Professional Qualifications by acting as a delivery partner for an NPQ lead provider.
