'Transforming Attendance in Cornwall'

Friday 10th January 2025

OneCornwall has launched the Transforming Attendance in Cornwall toolkit, which showcases the variety of Inquiry based approaches taken by Cornish schools to improve attendance. If you have not had the booklet delivered to your school, then you will receive one shortly and in the meantime, please see our online flipbook.

The next in-person Transforming Attendance course is on Thursday 10th January 2025.

The day will be split into two halves, you can sign up for either the morning session or the whole day.

The morning will see  Marc Rowland Deputy Director of the National Education Trust. discussing, ‘Addressing the attendance challenge in rural and coastal communities’.

The afternoon we are inviting colleagues who would like to become part of the research project. Reflective discussion - Preparing for addressing the issues of poor/inconsistent attendance; designing and implementing a disciplined inquiry, with peer feedback.

Marc will be running a virtual follow up to anyone implementing a project in their school on the 4th February (4-5pm). Virtual drop in Q&A session with Marc Rowland to discuss sharing inquiry questions and progress with implementing your inquiry.

This fully funded event is an opportunity to be part of a Cornwall wide (nationally recognised) project, where school’s attendance inquiries have already seen positive results. Please sign up using the form below.
