Championing the Work of Schools in Cornwall
CAPH supports school leaders and the wider school community across Cornwall. We aim to be a vehicle for improvement and innovation for education in Cornwall. Our membership is open to schools in all phases and of all types. As a Community Interest Company owned by schools everything we do is aimed at benefiting our community.
The CAPH Board represents school leaders across the county and steers the work of the core CAPH team. CAPH provides support through regular news updates, events, CPD, pastoral programme, preferred partners, school support service and online, phone and in-person support.

CAPH Pastoral Associate Programme – Fully Funded Support for School Leaders
As part of your school’s CAPH membership, OneCornwall is pleased to offer access to the CAPH Pastoral Associate Programme – a confidential, fully funded network of support for Headteachers, Deputy and Assistant Heads, SENDCOs, and colleagues with wider leadership responsibility.
This programme is distinct from formal supervision or general wellbeing provision. It provides a confidential, peer-based sounding board grounded in local context, helping to safeguard and strengthen leadership.
What the Programme Offers:
-
Termly one-hour sessions (or as needed)
-
A completely confidential space
-
Support tailored to your context and career stage
-
Access to additional reflective tools and signposting where helpful
Sessions are conducted virtually or in person, with no preparation, paperwork, or follow-up required – the focus is entirely on you.
Benefits for Leaders and Schools:
-
Stronger leadership confidence and resilience
-
Improved staff retention and succession planning
-
A more reflective, sustainable leadership culture
-
Enhanced professional satisfaction and clarity of direction
Running since 2016, the programme has supported many leaders through periods of transition, challenge, and growth. Feedback highlights the value of having a confidential, non-judgemental sounding board outside one’s own school context.
If you would like to participate or discuss whether this programme could support you or a member of your senior team, please contact emma@caph.org.uk. Full details are available in the attached Handbook.
