A growing body of research-based evidence has a clear message: the single greatest lever we have on improving pupil outcomes, for all learners, is to ensure the delivery of a high-quality curriculum, through high-quality teaching and learning.

Following the success of our Curriculum Masterclass conference held last December, and our regular online seminars the Curriculum Advisory Team are now taking to the road over the remainder of the academic year, to deliver a series of workshops up and down the Duchy.  The curriculum roadshows will focus on effective curriculum design, delivery and impact measurement. Staff working in both the primary and secondary phases of education within Cornwall, as well as those involved in special or alternative provision, are encouraged to join us; with content being particularly relevant to those involved in the planning and enacting of a rich, broad and balanced curriculum offer for all learners, within their settings.

The cost per delegate will be £30 and those joining us for the afternoon will be able to choose from two out of the three workshops on offer, with refreshments provided. Due to the limitations on capacity at each of the venues, numbers will be limited, and tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

We look forward to seeing many of you there and in the meantime, here’s what some of those attending our conference and online seminars last year had to say about the experience…”

“The conference surpassed expectations. All the speakers were clear, engaging and informative. "It's the best CPD I have had in years. I have to write the EYFS curriculum, and I lead history. I now feel confident that I can do this well”.

“The quality of the seminars and the obvious knowledge and experience of those delivering them meant that a great deal of reflection was encouraged.  This has led to discernible actions and systems improvement. The openness to partnership working also led to impact within our school. Through subject leaders leading staff meetings we can see the impact that some of our work on the curriculum including input from the seminars is having”.

Dates for the 2024-25 academic year will appear here.
